Elsie's Baptism Day

Saturday afternoon---Baptism Day!

My sweet Elsie girl chose to be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints this past February. I'm so proud of her for praying and learning about her Savior, the restored gospel, and choosing the right. During her interview with the Bishop, he asked her, "Who's example are you following when choosing to be baptized?" To my delight, she answered, "My brother Lorenzo's. " The bishop chuckled and explained she was following her brother's example and that was awesome but she was also following our Savior's example. Such a sweet little girl.

It was a wonderful day. My parents, Matt's family, the Harris family friends and ward members all joined us in witnessing Elsie's special day. She was baptized and confirmed by her Dad, (Steve). My Dad (Grandpa Kim) and Daddy Matt were the witnesses. And Matt's mom (Grandma Cherie) and my Dad gave the talks. Steve's Mom (Grandma Kathy) gave the closing prayer and I gave the opening one. Wowie, what a set up. Lorenzo was our official program passer-outer and made sure they were all lined up on the table just right.

It was a "slice-of-heaven" day. To know that now
both of my children have chosen to be baptized and confirmed into His church and know His gospel brings such joy. They actually have their own little testimonies growing inside.

Learning that God loves them, Jesus loves them and we can all be together in Heaven if we allow ourselves to make the right choices to get us there. We were all surrounded by love and the Spirit of the Holy Ghost on Elsie's day.

Thank you to everybody who came or could only be there in spirit. We are so blessed.
Happy Baptism Day Elsie!
