School time!
Lorenzo J. Harris is in 6th grade this year. In Washington that means Middle School time. I grew up with 6th still being in Elementary school so I was quite nervous about Ren growing up too fast. However, he's loving his new found freedom and ever present coolness factor for being in 6th grade. He gets to go to school before Els and come home before her. In Ren's mind that's awesome due to him finally getting his homework done first! Plus he gets a locker and is learning how to play the trombone (Matt's thrilled about his band choice!) and he's so cool that he has 7 different classes. Don't forget he gets to ride the bus for the first time this year, which is also awesome (for now...). I'm so glad that at the end of week 1, he still likes it.
Elsie J. Harris is in 4th grade now. She's still over at the KOG Honors program (pat, pat on my back for getting her brains from me) at Ridgeview and gets to take a bus there in a round about way. She has most of the same classmates as last year since they KOG kids stay together in each grade. Elsie loves learning and is always happy to be back in school. Plus she loves seeing her friends!
Good Luck Ren and Els! Welcome to school year 2011-2012!!!!
