My Sweetheart

Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Morrow
Valentine's Night
2/14/2011

Four Valentine Day's ago, on February 14th, 2008 my sweet Matthew proposed to me. It still makes my heart giddy thinking about that night and the wonder and excitement in the air. He was very sneaky so I wasn't sure that we would get engaged that night. But lo and behold he proposed after a delicious dinner and a nice long walk along the Columbia River in the moonlight. He got down on one knee, grinning from ear to ear and asked me, "Will you marry me, Alicia?" Anytime somebody calls you by name it means they care and it always makes me feel special. So he's a sweet man and picked up on my ques about always saying my name. I immediately said yes, jumped up and down and even twirled in a circle. It was one of the most magical moments of my life. This year was our 4th Valentine's Day together. Yup, four of them already! We celebrate Valentine's Day as a family, the kids and us exchanging little gifts and cards and an outing to dinner. I want them to know this day is about LOVE. Not just being a couple in love but LOVE for those dear to you. Be it spouse, child, friend, parent. Unfortunately our traditional Valentine eatery closed :( -- (The Spaghetti Establishment) so we opted for a friendly Chico's Tacos. This was my first outing post-surgeries so we kept it low key. Matt and I will enjoy a nice romantic dinner another evening. Four of 'em....and he still makes me the happiest wife around. Pretty tricky of him to propose on Valentin's Day, because now that day will always be extra special. XOXO.
